Thursday means Riverdale Farmer's Market. The Riverdale Farmer's Market means Bulgogi Cart! G was in town and it was awesome to see her again. More highlights: Silva with a ginormous branch, fresh mini doughnuts, Petunia rolling in poo, Baby R bouncing on his own and declining beer. He didn't even look at it!
First things first, Baby R is getting so strong and better at manipulating his chubby limbs. He can sort of hold his bottle by himself as well as sit up - albeit in a slouched, relaxed position. We had a lovely walk to the FedEx drop-off box, Target and the PetSmart - he loved all the fish and started bouncing up and down a little.
H & Z have this awesome little farmer's market in their town on Thursdays so off we went. Petunia snuck herself completely under the passenger seat!
I absolutely love Farmer's Markets and this one had all the wonderful organic fruits, veggies, flowers, dairy and meat one could ask for. Even more, they have a Bulgogi cart and a mini-doughnut stand! Who does not love a fresh small fried piece of dough dusted with confectioner's sugar?
Baby R helped me work out today. We did about 15 reps of lifts - I would do more but the boy is 17 lbs and I don't want to get too ripped. We did the usual turn and squat. We also did abs and leg lifts - I lay on my back, laid him on my shins and we rocked back and forth and up and down. Tomorrow, we'll add push-ups. I also want to make a shout out to iTunes for their classical music radio stations! Baby R sure likes his Mozart and my original idea of looking for songs on youtube was dumb. Plus, something's wrong with the TV.
H, Z and Baby R's new home. It is so cute, the perfect size and has a great fenced in yard for Silva and Silva's friends to run around. Congratulations!
Day 2 of Baby R fun! I like the middle photo because it looks like he is planning on taking over the world. And then the third photo where Z has to talk him out of his nefarious scheme.
Today Baby R worked from home. He's quite the demanding boss but we understand his drive for excellence. He gave us a lot of pep talks and did an impressive poo that spewed out the front and back of his diaper! Imagine, poop that squirts up your back into your neck folds! Impressive!
[in progress] Is that what being pregnant is like? He's heavy and I was all huffing and puffing going up the stairs! I also changed 2 poopie diapers and used the "Happiest Baby on the Block" technique for quelling tears. Amazing!
The Jersey brunchers had not convened in a long time, there was a lot of catching up to do. The last brunch was at M&M's home and I think we are going to stick to a theme - potluck! I love the idea of being in a home, enjoying food at a leisurely pace and not being rushed or stressed by waiting for a table, menus, appetizers, entrees, bills, splitting the bill, etc. And we are, after all, in a recession.
Baby R had changed and grown so much from when I last saw him. I shared my news about moving - only 2 more Jersey brunches left - sad! M&M shared their good news and N&K told us about the passing of their kitty, Balanchine. Rest in peace, sweet kitty.
It was so good to be with old friends, share the good and the bad, and see our lives evolve.
People have called me a goldfish - I have no memory. Or a very selective memory. I'm missing whole years of my life but can remember all the words to odd Disney and Dirty Dancing songs (Aaahhh-riel! Stay, just a little bit looonger...). So, this is a clear little bowl for me to hold my treasures and peer out while you peer in.
