5 Spiced Braised Short Ribs

M sure loves her braised short ribs. I thought I'd make my version of mom's unbelievable beef stew - as if that could be improved in any way. I added tofu for me.

5 Spiced Braised Short Ribs
- Wash and sear short ribs
- Sweat onions and ginger in the short rib grease
- Put back the short ribs, add tomatoes, potatoes, tofu, 1 cup of water, 1 cup of soy sauce, 1 cup of rice wine
- Add a 5 spice packet or if you don't have one like me, annise, cloves, black peppercorn, bay leaf. The 5th spice was the ginger.
- Braise for at least an hour. I cooked it for about 2.5.
- Eat over rice or even better, these thin noodles (somen?)
